Madera County EDC Announces Interim Executive Director
Bobby Kahn to lead the organization starting June 10, 2024
Madera, CA –The Madera County Economic Development Commission (MCEDC) recently announced they have named Bobby Kahn as the Interim Executive Director. Kahn previously served as the Executive Director for 20+ years, retiring in October of 2022. He brings a strong educational background and a core understanding of the organization’s mission and vision.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to support MCEDC during this time of transition and to work in collaboration with the board, staff, members, and partners to continue our work while the organization secures new leadership, said Kahn. I remain committed to ensuring Madera County and its cities remain known as “the Perfect Location” when business are seeking to relocate or expand,” he added.
“The Board of Commissioners is enthusiastic about having Bobby continue his service to MCEDC as Interim Executive Director,” said Robert Poythress, Chairman of the MCEDC Executive Board and representative for the Madera Chamber of Commerce “He brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to this position, which will allow the agency to continue its momentum in obtaining Madera County’s new development opportunities”
The search for MCEDC’s next Executive Director will begin soon via a select committee assembled by MCEDC Board members.
