Dustin Franklin, Hometown boy and Veteran is opening The Tap House in Madera

A family friendly restaurant serving craft beer, local wine and Artisan pizza

Owners, Dustin and Traci Franklin are opening a new restaurant, The Tap House, in Madera located at 2175 North Schnoor Street, Ste. 101, in the Home Depot Shopping Center. The new restaurant will have 15 tap handles serving craft beer that will include, Drakes, Barrel House, Sierra Nevada, Dust Bowl and Firestone. The family friendly restaurant will also be serving local wines from Toca and San Joaquin Winery.  Their menu will feature an assortment of hand-crafted wood fired pizzas. They will be open to serve lunch and dinner during the hours of 11 am to 10 pm on Monday –Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights they stay open until 12 am and Sunday, 9 am to 10 pm, closed on Tuesdays.   The Tap House will feature an outdoor patio as a part of their extended dining experience. They will also offer bottle service to go for their selections of beer and wine.

This venture was started by the Franklin family who share a passion for craft beer and good food. Opening a restaurant has always been a dream of Dustin’s after completing his military service in the U.S Navy. He and his wife felt compelled to make their investment in Madera, Dustin’s hometown where he graduated from Madera High School in 2005.  Dustin and Traci want to contribute to the progress of growing Madera into a vibrant community.  Their goal is to serve award-winning beer, specialty wine and hand-crafted pizza in a warm casual setting. The Tap House wants their patrons to feel like family when dining at their establishment.

The Tap House tentative opening date is September 1, 2017.  They are currently hiring and are expected to have 12 employees. Resumes may be sent to thetaphousellc@gmail.com for consideration of employment.
