The Eastern Madera County Chamber Alliance, a collaborative effort between four foothill chambers, has recently initiated a marketing campaign to showcase the advantages of doing business in an area where you can “Work Where You Play.”

Highlighting the communities of Coarsegold, NorthFork, Oakhurst and Bass Lake, eight small business owners were featured in a video released by the Alliance and funded by a Picayune Rancheria Grant.  Each business owner discusses why they chose Eastern Madera County for their business and home. They also talk about the advantages of working in a world class recreational environment.
Madera County offers an abundance of recreational activities for individuals and families. Many of those activities include; fishing, hunting, backpacking, hiking, boating, skiing, rock crawling, biking, snowboarding and camping. The video does an excellent job displaying scenic trails, waterfalls, and a variety of outdoor sports that sets Eastern Madera County apart from the rest.
Some of the businesses interviewed are solely based on tourism and thrive on the millions of travelers who come to Madera County to visit Yosemite National Park. Others just find it a great place to do business and truly love living in such a pristine place. The stunning beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and outdoor activities is what gives Madera County a natural niche for tourism and world-wide popularity. It is no surprise that tourism is one of Madera County’s biggest industries.

Local business owners that line the southern gateway to Yosemite National Park have an advantage of capturing crowds of travelers. Along with traffic counts, there are many other benefits to working and living in Eastern Madera County; the area is known for being the center of California which allows for easy distribution, available commercial space, forty-five minute commute to Fresno International Airport, distinguished schools and affordable housing with acreage.
Eastern Madera County is a perfect place for forward-thinking innovators looking to create a business, settle a family and work where you play.
