For the third quarter in a row their is no change in the vacancy rate for the Madera industrial market.
However, according to a recent Fresno Bee article, an official ground-breaking ceremony was held on September 24th for the first building in the new Freedom Industrial Park. The first building is a 65,000 square foot building to be occupied by an agricultural based firm that will relocate its operations and 70 employees from Fresno to its new Madera location. A 41,000 square foot building is in the planning stages and is reportedly 50% pre-leased. The 98 acre park could add as much as 1 million square feet of much needed space.
Recent reports by newgeography.com ranked Madera in the number one position for best small city manufacturing job growth. Additionally, Forbes listed Madera as 1st nationally for best agribusiness job growth 2004-2014.
