page1

The new app was designed to make it easy for business and travelers to find accessible information about Madera County.

Madera, CA – October 28, 2014- You can now download the Madera County EDC App for free on iTunes, Google Play and the Windows Phone store.  The concept was developed between the Madera County Economic Development Commission and Madera County’s Information Technology (IT) Department. The IT Department wanted to pilot an app and since the Economic Development Commission focuses on attracting new business and jobs it seemed like an appropriate place to start.
The free app offers an economic snapshot of Madera County. Information in the app includes:
• Available Commercial and Industrial Properties
• Demographics
• Incentives
• Tourist Information
• Community Information
• Contact Information

The app was designed to give people a quick understanding of the attractive qualities Madera County has to offer.  The goal is to target; Site Selectors, Real Estate Brokers, Business Managers and Owners, Entrepreneurs and the General Public.  The first day the app was launched it received a four star rating.  “Good information, I downloaded this app to get some more information about moving to Madera and found it pretty useful,” stated a Google Play user.

Madera County EDC has worked hard over the years to create a brand for Madera County with a consistent marketing message.  “This app carries our message to a new platform and being the first EDC in the state to offer an app shows that we are very aggressive in trying to reach all target audiences,” said Bobby Kahn, Executive Director, Madera County EDC. “We want to be accessible and available on all web driven platforms including social media, mobile devices and website,” said Kahn.
